Boxers of the national team of Kazakhstan Kamshybek Kunkabayev and Saken Bibosynov, who became bronze medallists of the Olympic Games in Tokyo, will give their prizes from the state to charity.
The third place was supposed to be 75 thousand dollars.
At the same time, the boxers were also encouraged by Kenes Rakishev, the head of the National Boxing Federation, with cash bonuses in the amount of 50 thousand dollars. Their coaches received 10 thousand dollars each.
Kunkabayev represented the national boxing team in the weight over 91 kilograms, Bibosynov – up to 52 kilograms.
Earlier, Kazakh freestyle wrestler Nurislam Sanayev, who won bronze at the 2020 Olympics, also decided to give his prizes to those in need.
